The answers to some frequently asked questions - thank you for reading.
- How much do you charge per hour?
The hourly charge is £40 /£50 for the first hour/, the daily charge - £240. Urgent jobs done after 5 p.m. are charged at £50 per hour. If you know exactly what you need done, it is always better to ask for a quote rather than pay as you go.
- Do you charge a call out fee?
There is no call out fee and estimates are free. If and when I start working there is a minimum charge of £50.
- Do your prices include materials?
Unless stated otherwise in corresponence or a discussion prices are for labour only.
- Will your company send someone to do the work or will you do it yourself?
I am a self-employed bathroom fitter, plumber and occasionaly handyman - rather than a manager. I do 90% of the work myself. If you are wondering whether I can maintain quality when undertaking a fairly wide range of work, please have a look at my gallery.
- Do you do emergency call outs?
Sometimes I can help with an urgent problem after work between 5 and 8 p.m., which is charged at base rate - no overtime. No 24 hour service, sorry.
- How do you guarantee your work?
The guarantee covers workmanship and any materials I have bought, unless discussed otherwise. The length of the guarantee is 1 year. In the unlikely event that a fault occurs, it will be repaired for free.
